The level of overcrowding a the region’s main hospital is spiralling once again.
The latest figures from the INMO shows there were 110 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning.

46 of those were on trolleys or chairs in the Emergency Department, with a further 64 accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
The overall figure is 29 more than thenext busiest facility and represents almost a fifth of all trolley numbers at the country’s 32 hospitals.
