Trolley Numbers Spike Again At UHL With 79 Waiting For Beds

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has jumped again.

The latest figures from the INMO shows there were 79 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 43 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 19 more than the next busiest facility; Galway University Hospital and represents a rise of more than a dozen on yesterday’s numbers.
