Trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital have shot up once again today.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 88 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 47 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is more than double the next busiest facility.
The INMO says overall there were 480 patients on trolleys at hospitals across the country this morning.
