Trolley Numbers Rising Once Again With 72 Waiting At UHL Today

Nurses say the level of overcrowding is climbing at the region’s main hospital once again this week.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 72 people waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 50 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

It’s means the Dooradoyle facility is one of the busiest in the country again, with the same number on trolleys at Cork University Hospital.

 

Overall, 625 people were waiting for beds at hospitals across the country this morning.
