Trolley Numbers Remain High At Region’s Main Hospital

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital remains the highest in the country once again.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organsiation show there were 74 patients waiting for beds during morning rounds, 24 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 20 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.

 

According to the nurses union, there were 456 patients waiting for beds at hospitals across the country this morning.
