Trolley numbers have dipped at the region’s main hospital as the weekend fast approaches, but University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest in the country.
The INMO’s daily trolleywatch analysis shows there were 80 patients on trolleys this morning at the Dooradoyle facility, 35 of those in the Emergency Department.
The overall figure is 18 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital and comes on a day when 521 patients have been waiting for beds at hospitals across the country
