Trolley Numbers Contining To Climb At UHL As 120 Left Waiting for Beds

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to rise.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 120 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 61 of those in the Emergency Department.

It’s the second day this week that trolley numbers have risen above the hundred mark.

The overall figures is 43 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
