Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to climb.

The latest INMO figures show there were 75 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 45 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

Its the highest of any hospital in the country and comes on a day when there were 638 people waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
