Trolley Numbers At UHL This Morning A Quarter Of Country Total

Nurses say more than a quarter of the total number of patients waiting for beds at hospitals across the country today, were attending University Hospital Limerick.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 118 patients on trolleys or chairs at the Dooradoyle facility during morning rounds, down from 127 yesterday.

The overall figure is almost double the number on all ten hospitals serving the east of the country combined and is 66 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
