Trolley Numbers At UHL By Far The Highest In Country

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is by far the highest in the country once again today.

The latest trolleywatch analysis from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows there were 113 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 35 of those on trolleys or chairs in the ED.

Galway University Hospital was the next busiest facility, where 63 patients were waiting for a bed.

Health Officials have warned that high presentations are expected to continue at University Hospital Limerick throughout this week and have advised patients to examine all healthcare options before presenting at the ED.
