The Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat has had to come to the assistance of 3 people who were stranded on a boat on the lake in windy conditions.
The rescue service were requested to attend the scene at 7:30 last night, where they found a boat near the Carrigeen Islands, close to the Clare shoreling.

The vessel hadbeen, but the skipper had dropped anchor to prevent it from being grounded.
The boat and it’s occupants were towed back to safety at Dromineer Harbour before 9:00.
