Tributes are pouring in for a West Clare man, who’s described as a legend in humanitarian aid, who’ll be sadly missed around the world.
Former United Nations official and Miltown Malbay resident, Mike McDonagh will be laid to rest on Saturday afternoon following funeral mass in St Joseph’s Church, Miltown Malbay.
He’s survived by his wife Sarah McNiece, daughters Saoirse and Molly and extended family.
Mike also worked for Concern for more than 20 years, serving as country director in Laos, Somalia, Angola, Rwanda, North Korea and Zimbabwe amongst numerous other locations around the world.
