The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council says the nomination of five local communities in the Pride of Place competition is testament to the hard work and committment of local communities here.

Bunratty, Kilrush, Ennis, Kilmaley and Doonbeg have been chosen to represent the county at the event in Ennis in November.
While, the local authority has been chosen to host the competition for the second year in a row, the first time it has been held in the same place in two consecutive years in over a decade.
