Tributes Paid To Mountshannon Man Who Died In East Clare Road Crash

Tributes are being paid to an East Clare man who has lost his life in a road crash.

62-year-old John Jamieson from Mountshannon died after the car he was driving left the road and hit a ditch, close to the village, shortly before 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon.

Another man in his sixties who was a passenger in the car received non-life threatening injuries in the collision.

Whitegate Fine Gael Councillor Pat Burke has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that John was a man known by everyone in the community.
