Tributes are being paid to Feakle singer and poet Dun Purcell, who passed away over the weekend aged 99.
He had survived COVID-19 earlier this year and lived through battles with tuburculosis and scarlet fever, as well as World War Two.

He was shortlisted for Clare Older Person of the Year in recognition for running the Looking Forward Group since the mid 2000’s.
Killanena-born fiddle player Martin Hayes says Dun will be sadly missed by all in East Clare and beyond.
