Tributes are being paid to Clare man Eamon Meehan who has been appointed as the new head of Trocaire.

The Kilmaley native has been appointed as Executive Director of the overseas Catholic development agency, and will replace Justin Kilcullen following his retirement in October.
Mr. Meehan has worked with Trocaire since 1991 and served as deputy Director since 2002.
