Public Input Sought Into Extension Of Western Rail Corridor

Iarnróid Éireann has put a call out for the public’s input into a proposal to extend the Western Rail Corridor.

The six-week consultation period aims to examine the financial and economic benefits of extending the Ennis to Galway rail line from Athenry to Tuam and then Tuam to Claremorris.

If it got the green light, it would mean that the county town would be opened up to passengers coming both to and from Mayo.
