Clare’s Green Senator believes the country needs to ‘up its game’ when offering people transport alternatives to private cars.
It’s after more than 5 million euro in funding was announced for upgrades to walking and cycling routes across the county.
Mobility plans in Ennis and Shannon are to progress further under the grants, with more than €200,000 set aside here for the ‘Safe To Schools’ programme.
