Transport Minister Says Dept Will Re-examine Funding For Henchy’s Cross

The Minister for Transport says his Department will re-examine the possibility of providing multi-million euro funding for works one one of the main routes into East Clare.

Short-term visibility works at Henchy’s Cross are expected to be concluded later this year, though a larger scale two million euro application from Clare County Council was rejected by the Department of Transport.

A man in his 50s passed away following a crash in the area near Clooney last week.
