The Transport Minister insists the government's promises relating to job creation at Shannon will come to fruition.

When Shannon Airport separated from the DAA, the coalition predicted that 3,500 jobs would be created there by 2018, as well as significant growth in passenger numbers.
Current Transport Minister Paschal Donohue says its opening years of independence show this was the right move, and he's confident the promised targets will be met.
He says the airport's progress to date is a sign that he's correct.
