The Transport Minister is being asked to hear the concerns of Clare representatives over Shannon Airport amid ongoing fears for its future.
Minister Leo Varadkar is being invited to address members of Clare County Council following a heated debate in which local councillors slammed the decline in flights at Shannon as an "absolute scandal".

The Minister is due to make an announcement on the future structure of the country’s main airports by the end of the year, including possible independence for Shannon and Cork Airports from the Dublin Airport Authority.
