Shannon Group is expected to be represented on a newly-established special task force on aviation.
Minister Shane Ross announced the formation of the group last night, during a special Dáil debate on aviation, a sector which he said is facing ‘unprecedented’ challenges.

Much of last night’s debate focused on Shannon Airport, with each of Clare’s TDs pressing the case for the Minister to intervene in a bid to reverse Aer Lingus’ decision to lay off cabin crew, and to ground passenger flights from Clare’s international Airport.
But Minister Ross said his hands are tied.
