An event being held in Clare today is introducing a new training manual which is hoped will revolutionise the way farm safety is taught to young people.
As part of its launch, a pilot event will take place today at Kilmihil National School which aims to create a more sustainable approach to ensuring farm safety education remains prevalent in schools.

In the last decade, 90% of children’s deaths recorded on farms involved incidents with farmyard machinery.
Founder of Agrikids, Alma Jordan, hopes the programme will change the way farming is viewed and that farm safety will start to become normalised.
