The communities of Ennistymon and Lahinch are said to be in shock following the death of a man in his 60s in a road crash yesterday.
Retired Garda Conor Touhy is survived by his sons and daughters.
Conor lost his life on the N85 between Inagh and Ennistymon yesterday afternoon.
