The Irish Aviation Authority is reporting an increase in traffic at Shannon Airport last month.

August saw a daily average of 59 movements at the airport, while the combined total of over 1,800 marks an increase of 6.1%.

Growth was also registered at Dublin and Cork Airports in August, which saw total traffic levels exceed peaks last recorded in 2008.
