A motorist is facing a court date for driving a vehicle with a number of defects in East Clare.
During a routine patrol in Scariff today, members of the Roads Policing Unit encountered a tractor that had its windscreen replaced by timber and glass tied up with cord.

Upon further inspection, the tractor was found to have a bald tyre, an unsecured load and no working lights.
Gardaí have prohibited the vehicle from further use.
