The Minister in charge of the Office of Public Works has said a promotion of its tourism sites could see extra tourists divert from the Wild Atlantic Way and bring more business inland.

Minister Simon Harris was in Ennis this week, where he visited the restored Friary in the town Centre, while he also went to Scattery Island.
17,000 people from 50 countries went to Ennis Friary last year and Minister Simon Harris has told Clare FM that he feels these heritage locations can play an important economic role too.
