Tourists In Clare Warned Of Severe Conditions As Storm Ellen Approaches

Clare County Council is urging tourists in particular to take extra care as Strom Ellen approached the country.

An orange weather alert has been issued for Clare and six other counties tonight, while a red marine warning is also in place.

Met Éireann is forecasting heavy swells and onshore winds, with gusts of up to 170 kilometres per hour and flooding in coastal areas.
