Tourist Wins Big On Lahinch-Bought Scratch Card

An American man holidaying in Clare has become a bumper lotto winner.

The anonymous man, who bases himself in Kilfenora during his regular stays in Clare, won €250,000 on a scratch card which he bought in the Daybreak store in Lahinch.

The North Carolina native was due to return home at the start of the week, but saw his travel plans disrupted by Storm Opehlia.
