Clare’s Bouyant Tourism Sector Gone “Belly Under” In Space Of A Week

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD says the county’s bouyant tourism sector has gone belly under in the space of just a week.

It follows the decision by An Bord Pleanála not to grant permission for coastal protection works at Trump Doonbeg – a decision that’s been labelled as putting up to 300 jobs in West Clare at risk.

This is on top of the COVID-19 crisis which is continuing to decimate the tourism and hospitality sectors, as successive businesses close up shop.
