Clare Tourism Advisory Forum Chair Says Loss Of Shannon To Philadelphia Route For 2022 Is A Blow

The Chair of the Clare Tourism Advisory Forum says American Airlines’ reversal of their decision to fly from Shannon in 2022 is ‘unfortunate’ and ‘an indirect result’ of the impact of the pandemic on aviation.

The airline announced its intention not to push ahead with resuming its Shannon to Philadelphia route in May as planned, due to airline production holdups at Boeing.

Shannon Group has told Clare FM it’s already working with American Airlines on restoring the service for 2023.
