Clare Senator Expresses Concern That Tourism Industry Here Isn’t Prepared For Full Reopening

Clare’s Fine Gael Senator is expressing concern the local tourism industry isn’t prepared for a full reopening this summer.

The role of Chairperson of Shannon Group is still vacant, though the Department of Transport has told Clare FM it’s still looking to fill the role ‘as soon as possible’

Shannon Heritage’s fate is also yet to be decided, with a review of its role within the wider Shannon Group still ongoing and no decision yet having been made.

Ennistymon-based Senator Martin Conway says for Clare’s tourism sector to be prepared, both of these matters need urgent addressing.
