Clare Hotelier Says Delta Uncertainty Leading To ‘Negative Impact’ On Staycation Market

The Chair of the Shannon branch of the Irish Hotels Federation says uncertainty surrounding the Delta variant is leading to a negative impact on the staycation market here.

NPHET is to issue advice next week on the reopening of indoor hospitality, with health officials describing it now as a ‘big concern’.

While Government Ministers have expressed cautious optimism on pressing ahead with the easing of restrictions on July 5th, the variant now accounts for 20 percent of all cases here.
