Claims Clare Isn’t Benefitting From International Tourism Due To Accommodation Shortage

It’s claimed Clare isn’t reaping the benefits of international tourism due to a shortage of accommodation and a lack of public transport.

Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn is calling for student housing to be built at the Freight Yard at Ennis train station, which would double as tourist accommodation during the summer period.

The former Mayor of Ennis says he’s heard of tourists cancelling plans to travel to the Banner county due to issues surrounding bed capacity.
