Call For Major Outdoor Tourism Site To Be Developed On Outskirts Of Ennis

Calls are being made for a major outdoor tourism amenity to be developed on a 30-acre site just outside Ennis to boost visitors coming to the area.

Clarecastle Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy wants work to progress on the lands on the Kildysart Road at Ballaghafadda, which have already been zoned for tourism.

He believes with access to both Newhall Lake and Ballybeg Lough, it’s an ideal location for those interesting in kayaking or other water activities.
