Tourism Ireland hopful of creating new links between Shannon and US

Passengers could soon be flying direct from Shannon Airport to south and west of the United States, as Tourism Ireland reports positive signs on the Transatlantic market.

Clare’s international airport is already experiencing a boost in traffic from the US this year – new services to Chicago and Philadelphia will help deliver an extra 60,000 American passengers.

It’s now hoped that further links could be opened to airports like Dallas and San Francisco, as efforts to promote Ireland in the US continue.
