Tourism Growth Not Reflected In Shannon Passenger Numbers

It’s claimed that growth in tourism numbers to this country is not reflected in the passenger numbers at Shannon Airport.

A former President of the Irish Hotels Federation is commenting in light of new figures from the CSO which show that spending by overseas visitors to Ireland rose by 6.5% to over 4.8 billion euro last year.

There was strong growth in revenue from North America, mainland Europe, and what’s described as “other” long-haul markets, though expenditure by British visitors dropped by 5.1%.
