Tougher Campaign To Be Launched To Tackle Dog Fouling

Clare County Council is to launch a harder hitting campaign in the coming weeks to crack down on the problem of dog fouling in public spaces.

In recent years, the local authority has rolled out the Green Dog Walker initiative, which encourages responsible dog ownership, and has erected signs in some areas urging people to clean up after their pets.

Former Ennis Mayor Paul Murphy wants more signage erected, warning of the health dangers posed by dog droppings.
