Councillor Cathal Crowe is calling on Limerick City and County Council to invoke the derelict Sites Act to compel the owners of the old Athlunkard Bridge Toll House to secure the property and make it safe.
The Meelick Councillor says the landmark has fallen into disrepair leading to teenagers from both sides of the border engaging in drinking and drug-taking in the building.
Councillor Crowe says its a blight on an otherwise respectable residential area of South East Clare.
