The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic is to be marked with a series of events in Kilrush.
The Kilrush Lifeboat Station will hold a 100 minute swim at the Pier in Cappa on Sunday April 15th, beginning at 1:30.

Later that afternoon, an Annuual Service of the Blessing of the local boats at both the local Marina and Cappa Pier will be held.
The events mark the centenery of the sinking of the famed ocean liner, which claimed over 1500 miles.
