Met Éireann is forecasting scattered thunderstorms throughout the day today, with potential impacts including spot flooding and lightning damage.

The alert, which also covers Galway, Limerick, Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny, Kildare, Laois, Offaly and Wicklow came into effect at 11 o’clock this morning and remains in place until 8 o’clock tonight.
