A low level yellow thunderstorm alert has been extended to Clare.
Met Éireann is warning of heavy downpours and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

The alert, which came into effect at lunchtime, remains in place until 9 o’clock tonight.
Potential impacts include spot flooding, difficult traveling conditions and poor visibility.
