Threshold says half of eviction notices served in Clare in the last three months of 2022 were unenforceable.
91 households in the banner reached out to the housing charity for help in the final quarter of last year, 42 of which were contacting Threshold for the first time.
Of the total number who reached out in Clare, one third got in touch after receiving a notice of termination and a further 16% were fearful their landlord would end the tenancy.
Threshold’s Western Regional Services Manager, Karina Timothy, has been telling Clare FM’s Rebecca O’Sullivan that the number of landlords leaving the rental market in Clare is hugely concerning.
