Three Irish people have been arrested in Spain, following the seizure of 6 million euro worth of drugs on board an Irish yacht.
Two of them, a couple from Cork, are aged in their 50s. The third person is also believed to come from the South.
All three were detained yesterday when Spanish police boarded the Irish-registered yacht at around 3.30pm.
Authorities found 500 kilos of cannabis, with an estimated street value of 6 million euro on board the vessel, which is believed to have come from Morocco.
Gardaí are liasing with Spanish police, in relation to the three suspects.
