Gardai have charged around 3 disqualified drivers each day since 22nd June.
87 motorists who've been previously banned have been arrested and charged – 4 of them have been sent to jail.

Another 30 drivers have been charged with multiple offences.
On the 22nd June Gardai were given new powers to arrest disqualified drivers on the spo,t if they were found driving any vehicle in a public place.
