Three public parks in Clare have been awarded the prestigious An Taisce Green Flag for 2023.
The Green Flag was bestowed on 101 parks, gardens, grounds and wildlife sanctuaries across the country for excellence in the management of green spaces which are open to the public.
The accolade is the international benchmark for quality in the sector where the judges conduct an annual inspection of each participant.

Among the victors in this county, were Shannon Town Park, John O’Sullivan Park at Lees Road in Ennis and Tim Smythe Park at the Fairgreen, all of which were maintained by Clare County Council.
