Their operation was targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs, namely Cannabis, Cannabis Herb and Heroin in West and North Clare.

Searches began at 6 a.m. this morning, and are ongoing.

Three people have been arrested – two from Kilrush and one from Ennistymon.  They are being detained at Kilrush and Ennistymon Garda Stations under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Gardaí say the operation is part of a larger continuing investigation, into the sale and supply of controlled drugs, in West and North Clare.

It stems from the discovery of 11 Cannabis Grow Houses in various parts of Clare over the past year, as well as Operation Luxor which targeted suspected drug dealing in Kilrush in May 2013.
