Thousands of homes and businesses throughout Clare are without power this afternoon after this afternoon's stormy conditions.
The Banner county has been one of the hardest hit, but conditions should ease later this evening.
Gusts of around 80 miles an hour have been registered at Met Eireann's weather station at Shannon Airport this afternoon.
In East Clare, around 3,000 properties in the Tulla, Feakle and Killaloe areas are without power now, while earlier a further 3,000 were also affected in West Clare, though the ESB now says these issues have been resolved there.

Driving conditions are hazardous, with severe cross-winds on the M18 motorway.
Trees have also fallen throughout the county – this occured in Quilty, on roads between Kilrush and Kildysart, Cooraclare and Cree, from Sixmilebridge to Kilmurry, from Clarecastle and Manus and in Ruan and Killaloe.
There is also debris on virtually every major route, while there were even reports of slates being blown off of roofs in Ennistymon.
Flights have also been blown off course at Shannon Airport.
Aer Lingus Regional has cancelled services between Birmingham and Shannon, and a Ryanair flight which was flying in from Gatwick was forced to divert to Liverpool.
Winds are expected to ease late this evening, and Met Eireann's Status orange alert is due to expire at 9 o'clock tonight.
