A petition asking Clare’s Sarah McTernan to pull out of the Eurovision Song Contest has received 7-thousand signatures.
The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign has delivered to the petition to the 25-year-old Scarriff native.

It comes after Galway City Council passed a motion supporting calls for a boycott of the competition in Israel, with the motion noting that “it will be openly used for political and militaristic propaganda purposes.”
Sarah McTernan performs in the second semi-final on Thursday, with the first getting underway this evening.
