Over a thousand people have held a protest in Dublin City Centre this afternoon, in opposition to the Government’s plan to introduce further cutbacks in next month’s budget.

The anti – austerity demonstration comes as reports today suggest that for the first time ever, the budget will be delivered over two days, instead of just one.
The Irish Times is reporting that cuts in public spending will now be delivered by the Minister for Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin on Monday week – December 5th.
The following day, the Finance Minister Michael Noonan will detail changes to taxation.
